Description

Women in the U.S. earn, on average, 77 cents for every dollar men earn in similar positions—a gender-discrimination gap that adds up to $431,000 over the course of a career, according to the U.S. Department of Labor.

Mid-April marks the point at which women close the pay gap from the previous year.

Join Sara Presler, CEO of Arizona Foundation for Women, for a discussion on this topic. Presler, a trailblazer for Arizona women, was the first woman elected mayor of Flagstaff (serving two terms) and the first female CEO of the Maricopa County Medical Society and its business services.

She also served as general counsel for Southwest Windpower and was an attorney in private practice, focusing on ethics and business law. She has taught business law at NAU and constitutional law at Coconino Community College.
